Dagmar St\u00fchler, Jahrgang 1944, studierte von 1963 bis 1969 Gold- und Silberschmiedkunst an der M\u00fcnchner Akademie der Bildenden K\u00fcnste. Nach ihrem Diplom war sie 26 Jahre lang in der bayerischen Hauptstadt t\u00e4tig. 1996 wagte sie den Schritt als Galeristin nach Berlin und vertrat \u2013 neben ihrem eigenen Schmuck \u2013 in der Fasanenstra\u00dfe international bedeutende Schmuckk\u00fcnstlerInnen. Seit 2014 ist Dagmar St\u00fchler zur\u00fcck in M\u00fcnchen und blickt nun auf 50 Jahre Goldschmiedekunst zur\u00fcck. Dorothea F\u00f6rster, geboren 1954, besuchte von 1974 bis 1976 die Goldschmiedeschule in Pforzheim und arbeitete nach ihrer Lehre bis 1981 in Hamburg. K\u00fcnstlerisch pr\u00e4gend war ihre Zeit an der Zeichenakademie Hanau, die sie 1983 als staatlich gepr\u00fcfte Gestalterin und Goldschmiedemeisterin verlie\u00df. In mehreren Workshops entwickelte sie nach der Jahrtausendwende ihre auf geometrischen Grundelementen basierende Formensprache weiter. Das 2017 erschienene Werkbuch von Dorothea F\u00f6rster offenbart eine reife, vielschichtige K\u00fcnstlerpers\u00f6nlichkeit.<\/p>\n

Im Werk der beiden Frauen gibt es Verbindendes aber auch deutliche Unterschiede. Neben der Arbeit mit dem Hammer und dem Treiben hohler Formen ist Dagmar St\u00fchler f\u00fcr ihre fein schimmernden Oberfl\u00e4chen ber\u00fchmt. Die St\u00fccke von Dorothea F\u00f6rster hingegen bewahren etwas Skizzenhaftes, Scherenschnittartiges, Spielerisches. Wenn ein edelsteinbesetzer Ring, ein geschmiedeter Arm- oder Halsreif von Dagmar St\u00fchler an gro\u00dfe Handwerkskunst und Goldschmiedetradition denken lassen, weisen die Anh\u00e4nger, Ringe und Broschen von Dorothea F\u00f6rster mehr Bezugspunkte zu Kunstkonzepten der Moderne auf. Dagmar St\u00fchler setzt zumeist auf die Prachtentfaltung edler Materialien, bei Dorothea F\u00f6rster erscheinen Gold und Silber als dezent geb\u00fcrstete Fl\u00e4chen, Rahmen oder Kreise, werden locker \u00fcbermalt, definieren Au\u00dfen- und Innenr\u00e4ume oder geraten zu grafischen Zeichen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
